Who We Are

2017 marks the seventh year of the Innisfil Farmers’ Market. We operate Thursdays June 8, 2017 to October 5, 2017 between 2-7pm at the Innisfil Recreational Complex. On Thursday October 12 through December 21 we will be moving indoors for the second year.

This Market is the result of the Innisfil Farmers' Market Committee, a Committee of Council comprised of participating vendors, a member of Council and Town Staff. The Committee comes together as required to make decisions and approve applications for the season; a Market Manager coordinates these meetings and oversees the Market each week. The Innisfil Farmers' Market is designated a True Farmers' Market in that we have over 51% of our vendors identified as Primary Producers personally growing or raising at least 70% of the products they sell. In the winter season, given the circumstances, vendors carry over their fall harvest vegetables, providing items that they have grown and stored or items that are growing in their greenhouses for as long as they can until the end of the 2017 market.

Vendors are approved based on the products they offer and the number of approved vendors that carry the same products. Although competition is good, the Committee tries to ensure that the Market has a variety of products to offer their patrons.

The Innisfil Farmers' Market was established as an Inspiring Innisfil 2020 Initiative to support local agri-business and provide the residents of Innisfil with a greater opportunity to purchase fresh locally grown foods. Come out and taste good local food.
