Summer Oven Bakery

My name is Jaime Grant. With help from my family and friends, we run SUMMER OVEN BAKERY. My Ma Shirley is my partner in the kitchen and my Father in Law Larry is our man of all trades. My Husband David is a huge help, and our kids help out with making it work. We even have the help of good friends that just enjoy coming out to the market to be out in the community.

Here, you will find the treats that your mom or grandmother used to make. Not the fanciest of foods, but the wholesome goodness that we used to have. Who doesn't want a date square, or homemade apple pie? All the recipes we use have been passed down by friends and family over many years. The recipes are well loved, for good reason.

It was the increase of celiac and wheat allergies in our family that has changed some of our recipes to be gluten free. As most of my good memories involve amazing food, at the market you will find many of our treats are wheat and gluten free. We make these treats on separate equipment. We dare you to tell the difference! Just because we are forced by nature, or choose to eat gluten free, doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy good baking, all from scratch.

When people ask why it tastes so good, we simply tell them it is made with the love of baking.
